got my monopod at last!!! its as tall as myself. and pretty light. from the IT fair last week. good brand, good price. $70. only problem is everything is in japanese...
a tripod is a three-legged stand for cameras. a monopod is the same, only it has one leg. good for cramped places or if you are walkign around alot. it wont stand on its own but gives alot more stability as compared to just holding the camera with your hands.
