I just realized that there were two types of laundry rooms, the small one that I have been using and a bigger sized one, which I booked this week.
Two washers, a dryer, a drying cupboard, a roller machine and an ironing horse. Too bad no iron.
The cupboard looks cool, will try it one day.
This one i really cannot understand, its just two wooden rolls that press whatever your roll in between two canvas sheets. Like so ancient, can?
I tried to 'iron' a shirt using this and gave up after rolling it around and around for 5 minutes. Looks like I'm going to buy an iron.
had a small open house for the other singaporean girl in the lab, and two german girls, one who is going back in a few days and another who is going back in 2 weeks.

Tried out the new laundry room today.
First got to use your key dongle to book the room with this machien on the wall
Book one of the 5 rooms thats available. So far, I hardly see anyone using them
Electrolux 12kg machines. One dryer, one washer. No need to add your own detergent or softener. Themachine adds it for you. Theres cold, warm, hot wash, delicates, synthetics, wool, and even a hand wash feature. hmmm, a machine-hand-wash?
mop and pail for you to clean your apartment while waiting for clothes to be done.
the panel on the machine to select detergent- whites or colour clothes, and the soiled level of the clothes- heavy, normal or light. Then if you want softener in your final rinse.
Next week will try out the other rooms which have ironing 'tray' things as well as an airing cupboard.
So I had to shift out of my tiny 9 sq meter room because they let you stay there only one year. Got myself a 23sq meter studio now, just 4 minutes walk from the lab, and quite far from the city center.
After I got the keys, its a hike to Ikea.
This is the place bare
Work table
work chair
sofa bed
dining set
Their space saving packing is really quite incredible.
finish!
Took 3.5 hours of labour to get everything done.
Curtain rails and cool material for curtains.
SAMsung microwave, 850W of pure energy.
So I had the problem of not finding exact size ready made curtains for my windows. Bought cloth and decided to just hang them up. Scratched head for an hour and decided to use little envelope clips
It works. The right window slightly bigger so needed to join two pices of cloth together. And the extra I just put it on the sofa bed.
Kitchen and half eaten breakfast
Work area almost fully operational except for internet which should come next week.
The whole place, from a corner
From the doorway. To the right is the bath
Blue themed bath, as opposed to the red themed kitchen
just too many things to put here, so most are self explanatory, and i'm generally happier with night shots than day ones

another part of the aquaduct being built over by a nearby church, so the two structures fused.
st clemente, with an underground chruch. actually the church underground was ground level last time but somehow the level rose and the new church was build on top of the old and ppl actually forgot there was an underground church until someone started digging and found out. under the chruch is a pagan temple. so its super deep under. very cool.
