underground of the church, the present structure was built upon an older church. just build on top of it,
next a trip to a local brewery. Lambic beer takes 3 years to mature before they sell it. its unfiltered and uses yeast in the air to do its job of fermentation. being unfiltered, the yeast is still in the beer when its sold and so will continue to mature until you drink it.
some are left for decades and still drinkable.

at first i thought it was a castle, upon closer inspection of the tightly closed door, realized it is a prison. so if someone says they live in a prison in brussels, be wary.

The next day I woke up at 7 to walk around. The morning light was great for shadow shots. Wanted to take the sunrise but the sun rises at 3am, so it was kind of out of the question, unless I didnt go to bed at all.
Calm still waters and equally tranquil cloudless skies, beautiful reflections.
There were plenty of little hidden coves such as this. With a little boathouse, a small boat and a little pier. All probably privately owned.
Looking at the archipelago, The farthest land is 'mainland', not facing the outward sea, so the winds are not so strong here.
I've this sinking feeling that life is not as peaceful as this water
After awhile, the beautiful scenery everywhere numbs your senses, it starts to look the same.
So I went inland for a short walk, and found soem horses in a field. Also saw a wild (I think) deer crossing the road but was so stunned to see it, forgot to take a picture.
Back at the lodge, the wind was blowing up the dandelion seeds, literally cloging up the air, you can see the white speks on the red background.
I can just imagine a couple sitting down for tea in the shade of that tree. *hint hint*
A rocky outcrop that the locals call the 'bath rocks', sat here for 15 minutes breating in good clean air, before heading back to town.
The car ferry that shuttles people from the island to mainland. Notice one freeloader? its a seagull trying to conserve energy. Who said bird brains = dumb?
The car I sat to travel, one of the doctors. Not yet graduate and can own a Volvo already. hmmmmm..... what about me?

So, with the distraction of the seminars out of the way, its time for more entertaining exploits.
Champagne?
A game of pool
Spying the waiters preparing the BBQ
The outdoor BBQ
The pit. I find the charcoals very interesting, all the same moulded shape. We had eye, fillet, and something else I have no idea what. The eye was best, coz very juicy.
Starters: sweet melon with slices of bacon and some drizzled honey
The lodge owner doing the cooking
Food. And rice!! but its the lousy praboiled type, still, I'm not complaining for free food.
There were swarms of mosquitoes, since it is spring and they can breed again. I killed like a dozen or so. You can see how huge these are, and to imagine a swarm above your head. gross. Some had bites on their faces, and can see red swells on their necks and foreheads. Trying hard not to laugh.
After a filling dinner, it is only apt to burn away some of the excess calories. So I went sunset hunting, and was duly rewarded with some golden sunset pics.
Perfect reflection. That house must cost alot.
Found a slug crossing the road. Relatives on the other side.
Glorious sunset.
