I took the newly launched Air Asia X from London to K Lumpur. Two ways cost me 260 pounds. Which is dirt cheap.
At the airport in London, saw this interesting shop that lets you weigh your bags for a cost, just in case you go overweight, you can repack your bags beforehand. quite thoughtful way of making money.

the waiting hall

the plane, which is leased from Canadian Air

no LCDs, but this new Malaysia Teknologi is for extra passenger comfort.

here, a beautiful model demonstrates how to use this innovative soothing device for those long hours in the air.

but frankly, the legroom is very good, better then KLM, and comparable to SIA

of course, since its budget, everything got to buy, even water. all at extortionist rates.

proof that the plane does not belong to air asia but to Canadian air.

Take off!

nasi bryiani. spicy!! felt so much at home witht he first mouth. after the meal time, the stewardess sprayed the whole cabin with air freshener. haha. all the kari smell.

some ang moh boh pai seh one leh, take the whole row and show smelly leg at the poor asian kid at the end of the row.

meal #2, nasi lemak. i'm feeling hungry now as i blog this as no way you can find nasi lemak here.

arriving in KL, we had to make a circuit, obvious from teh vapor trails. but landing was still on time and very smooth. I found that the trip was very plesant and of course, after 13 hours in a seat you get cramps, but I felt the plane was clean, and for the price I paid, it was a steal. I totally will fly it again next time.

oil palm estate

flaps up and engines reversed.

had to walk from the plane to the arrival hall in KL. Got hit by the humidity first thing out of the door. Welcome home.

on the way back to UK after the 3 weeks in Asia, we passed by some snow capped mountains that the pilot pointed out. really cant remember what the name is already.

powerfull oven!

back in UK. Suddenly someone turned on the air cond outside the plane.
