Natural history museum, a house full of stuffed animals.

almost every imaginable mammal can be found there, then there are also insects, birds and a preserved co-joined human twin.

Simba the lion who was raised an orphan cub by humans

This is what made the museum famous, the earth's one and only preserved blue whale. It got washed ashore one day and left to die, so some mad scientist got funding to preserve it. The bones are on display next to it. They had to make a hole in the wall in order to bring in the whole whale, then patch up the wall.

parts of the whale dug out and preserved.

it has been preserved with lots of chemicals and wax, so the feel of the skin is actually quite stickily gross.

on to more 'regular' displays, fluorescent rocks.

Galapagos tortoises

moths and butterflies

a puffer fish

what the outside of the museum looks like

going back to the city, I caught an old tram and the seats were weird, its a good idea though, because when the guy sitting by the window wants to get out, its alot easier.
