The last stop I did on this whirlwind tour of Göteborg is at the botanical gardens, the official city one. Its quite far off the city center so takes abit of traveling to get there but the park is really marvelous to walk in and just relax. However relax is exactly what I did not do as I had to get there and back to the train station in 3 hours, thats only 2 hours to spend in the garden, which is just enough to peep at the overall area. There is also a glass house which i did not go in as I guess it would be filled with tropical plants which I would have at some point in my tropical residing history would have encountered. You could easily spend half a day there.

each area has a theme, like japanese rock garden, or english garden, etc. I was in a rush so didnt bother about names and just took pictures of whatever caught my eye.

If this was singapore, there will be a HDB right smack in the middle of that open ground

this is supposedly a natural river

strange downwards pointing flower

japanese garden, with maple trees turning yellow already

Theres a granite hill in the botanical gardens and the river comes out from inside it.

This is a private house, i.e. someone actually stays in the botanical gardens. How cool is that, free gardener services year round, well, except in winter that is.

humongous.

foxgloves

The soft evening light was perfect in this picture. I think its one of the better flower pictures I've taken thus far.
