before i was at the fireworks spot, was loitering around the gamla stan island looking for where the show could be held, well, certainly not here, where they cordoned off an area tht will have live performances and made it a no fireworks zone. you could also see many many police personel on cars, foot, horse, all over the city, even there were paramedics around their vans waiting. people here can get pretty wasted on new years day. the air was filled with sounds of popping firecrackers and whizzing rockets.
along one bay, people were setting off their own rockets, quite cool to watch
lots of nice patterns
then at midnight, the ships at the bay all blasted their horns, and the fireworks proper started:
