I was 'appointed' to go for a lab retreat to an island north-east of Stockholm last weekend, called Ljusterö. There are about 30,000 islands in the Stockholm archipelago and this is one of the largest. Most of the houses here are summer houses, where people come from Stockholm to spend a month or two here for holiday, or a weekend house. Since its an island, there's plenty of water, rocks (no beach), boats, waterfront houses, piers.
From the gate of the lodge we were at, this is what you see.
Since it was spring, there were lots of flowers and insects
Whole tree filled with white flowers, and the ground around it is also covered with white

crooked branches cast crooked shadows
The only crooked tree that was bearing flowers. It either too fast, or all the others are too slow.
Yellow flowers of dandelions. everywhere.
swimming pool and some of the rooms. I slept in one of these. Very comfortable actually.
From the porch of the lodge
The inside was deocrated traditionally. Lots of places to sit down and talk. cozy.
Old piano in one room
Reflecting on the reflection
Then it was time to start the scientific meetings so my camera went into hibernation till evening.
