went to an interesting church in holland.
its the church of our lord in the attic. the name comes from the fact that after the reformation, catholicism was banned. so some die hard catholics got together in a house church in the attic.
first two levels are the floors on which a family stayed in. quite a well off one, i must add.
the thrid floor had a small room for the priest.
and in the attic, is the church
the higher attic floor
mini organ
they still had all the periphenilia and traditions
very intricate
in those days it was fashionable to have tiles with pictures on them. at one century it was pictures of kids doing all kinds of things like running, playing, peeing, and in another century it was little cupid like creatures.
